A New Way to Explore What GeoSmart Does

Geospatial data provides a unique view of real-world problems, but understanding how that data is created, validated and applied is just as important as the data itself.

Our new interactive ArcGIS StoryMap provides an introduction to GeoSmart’s in-house products and the processes behind them.

Starting with elevation, the StoryMap explores how terrain derivatives help us understand the landscape, how this information contributes to hydrology, and how our Flood Hazard Model (FHM) extends this into continuous flood return modelling.

It also highlights the relationship between elevation data, terrain analysis and flood modelling, while providing insight into the processes that support the development of these products.
