The “mighty Mississippi”, as it’s fondly called, is the largest river system in North America. The river passes through or borders the states of Arkansas, Illinois, Iowa, Kentucky, Louisiana, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Tennessee, and Wisconsin. The length of it’s flow is approximated at 3766km (2340mi).
