Showcase: Line of Sight Analysis

A viewshed, also called a line of sight analysis, shows which geographical areas are visible from specific points. Featured here is Simonsberg. Although not as famous as Table Mountain, it’s noted for being one of the few free-standing mountains in the region. Having Simonsberg’s peaks as a vantage point (marked with the three orange pins) results in an amazing 360° view of the Cape. Everything marked in the teal overlay are the areas visible from the vantage points.
